Kitar Genesys successfully completed the Sungai Ikan Landfill Rehabilitation Project within four months, focusing on landfill life extension through proper waste reconfiguration, cell rehabilitation, leachate management, and operational improvements.

Prior to the project, the remaining lifespan of the two existing landfill cells was estimated at only six months due to inefficient waste placement and poor cell management. Through systematic rehabilitation and optimization of landfill operations, the lifespan was successfully extended to approximately eighteen months.

The project also included the leachate diversion system to prevent leachate discharge into surrounding areas and the development of a new tipping platform capable of maintaining uninterrupted waste disposal operations for up to three days during equipment breakdowns.
